Charles "Crutch" Crutchfield Obituary
Charles "Crutch" Crutchfield

- - Charles "Crutch" Crutchfield, 84, passed away on July 5, 2018 in Seminole with family by his side. Crutch was born in Monroeville, AL to Dewey and Emma Crutchfield on February 4, 1934. The love of his life, Jolene, and Crutch have spent the last thirty eight years side by side.

Crutch was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Navy aboard the USS Renshaw. As Crutch said many times "I crossed that Pacific thirteen times". Crutch never met a stranger and showed everyone he met love and kindness. Crutch was a die hard Alabama Fan and believed very much in three words: "Roll Tide Roll".

Crutch is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Emma Crutchfield as well as his brother William "Bill" Crutchfield (Susan). Crutch is survived by his partner Jolene, his five children Patsy Hunter (Wade), Vickie Little (Mick), Angie Jernigan (Randy), Ray Crutchfield (Migdalia) and Tammy Dutcher, his sisters Joyce Zorn (Tigner), Narvice Melton (Audrey) and Linda Rowell (Andy), eighteen grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren and the many he considered family at the State Line Pride Store where he had coffee everyday with friends.

The family of Crutch wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, especially his loving nurse Amy.

Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home on Friday July 13, 2018 at 10 AM with interment in the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
