Pensacola - Eleanor Skipper Grace, 85 of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Eleanor Skipper Grace (GiGi) was born September 23, 1932 in Megargel, AL. She was a retired registered nurse of 40 years. She began her nursing career as a graduate of the Sacred Heart School of Nursing on 12th Avenue in 1953. Her career culminated as a Neuro Surgical Nurse at West Florida Hospital. Her hobbies included flower arranging, gardening (she was the oldest active member of the Pintado Park Garden Club), book club, and sewing for her children and grandchildren. She was famous for her southern cooking especially her "plain cake". She was a member of Gadsden Street United Methodist Church for 63 years and active in the Couples Class and United Methodist Women. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority that encompassed many of her dearest friends and fondest memories in Pace, FL

Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carmon E. Grace; her parents, Cap and Bessie Skipper; her precious grandson, Evan Carmon Grace; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

She is survived by her son, Jim Grace (Dawn); daughter, Sally Coe (Jimmy); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Glenna Granzella of Costa Mesa, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Bayview Memorial Park with Rev. Gail Baughman.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Constance Marshall-Williams, Laura (Mrs. Shirley) Thompson, and Maxine House.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the or Gadsden Street United Methodist Church.
