Martha Caskey Drake

Mishawaka, IN - Martha Caskey Drake, 88, passed away December 25, 2020 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born January 12,1932 in St Louis, Missouri. After graduating from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts, she married Robert (Bob) B. Drake. They had four children that they raised into successful adults. The children are Russell (Linda), Michael (Beth), Deborah (Michael), and Lisa. She also has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Much of her adult life was spent traveling the world with Bob, who was a periodontist in the United States Air Force, and her family. Martha worked outside of the home early in her marriage as an elementary school teacher and later as a real estate agent. In her retirement years, she and Bob enjoyed the RV lifestyle traveling all over the United States and Canada. She was predeceased by Bob (58 years of marriage), her parents, Myron and Martha Caskey, and her brother David. Martha had a full life, enjoying traveling, cooking, pets, playing the organ and cello, quilting, knitting, reading, gardening, and above all she loved Bob, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Martha was a member of the philanthropic organization P.E.O International. She will be missed greatly. A Celebration of Life event for Martha will be scheduled for a later date.

McGann Hay Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Rd, South Bend, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
