Mary Elizabeth Killingsworth Williamson

Pensacola - Mary Elizabeth Williamson, of Pensacola, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018, five days into her 93rd year. She was born in Flomaton, AL, on June 3, 1925, to the late Wallace and Bessie Killingsworth. Mary graduated from Flomaton High School, as valedictorian of the class of 1944. She went on to work at Brookley Field, in Mobile, AL. She met her husband of 70 years, the late Eugene Williamson, while in high school. After he returned from his service in the U. S. Navy, they married and moved to Auburn, AL for him to attend school. Mary was an avid baker and cook, she was known to always be ready to bake a cake. She was an active member of the garden club and was known for her love of flowers which she always had displayed on her porch. Mary and Eugene were members of Gonzalez Baptist Church and later of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her nephew Allen Tisdale. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Ann Roehrig (Richard); son, Eugene Paul Williamson, Jr. (Marie); granddaughter, Emily Susan Williamson; sister, Hazel Tisdale; nieces, Jenny, Beth, Ceece; and nephew, Randy. Visitation 10:30am, Friday, June 15, 2018, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, 32504, until the Funeral Cortege departs at 11:30am, for a Graveside Service at 12:00n at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank neighbors Lisa and John Russo and the employees of Solaris, especially Pat and Quita for their thoughtfulness to her.
