Virginia Elizabeth Pittman Kinsley Obituary
Virginia Elizabeth Pittman Kinsley

Pensacola - On July 10, 2018 at 1217 Virginia Elizabeth Pittman Kinsley passed away with her loved ones by her side.

She was born January 15, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, and lived there until she met and married the brown eyed love of her life, her handsome soldier boy, Johnnie Miller Kinsley. They were married on August 4, 1945 at Walter Reed Army Hospital Chapel and moved back to Pensacola to make their home.

They were married almost 50 years before Johnnie passed away in March of 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry-Earl and Lillian Pittman and her 8 brothers; William, Howard, Harry-Earl, Don, Bud, Richard, Raymond and Gene.

She leaves behind many great memories for her surviving children to cherish. She is survived by 3 daughters; Wanda Repine of Molino, Donna Phillips (Bruce) of Magnolia, TX and Dora Thomley (Wayne) of Pensacola; son Harry Kinsley (Gayle) of Pensacola. She also leaves 6 grandchildren; Michelle Bond, Michael Repine, Shelli Ferris, Chase Kinsley, Stephen Phillips, and Heather Phillips, as well as 9 great grandchildren; Jackson and Jenna Bond and Brenn, Kira, Cole, Zane and Reid Repine and Cooper and Ellie Kinsley. Mama also leaves behind 2 sisters; Juanita Harmison of West Virginia, and Joann Thomas of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mama was a Wife, Mother and a Homemaker, and took great pride in her yard and flower gardens. Mama was a member of Lawton Street Baptist Church and was active until her health began to fail. She raised all four of her children to be self supporting and able to cook, clean, sew and tend a garden. Her motto was never depend on anyone to take care of you, but you. She raised her children in the church, and was sure we all had a Christian upbringing. Today we are rejoicing in the fact that because of this upbringing, we will see mama again. She is walking the streets of heaven with her beloved husband, and sitting at the right hand of her Lord and savior.

Visitation will be 9:30am Saturday, July 14, 2018 until the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. She will be raised to rest next to her husband at Roberts Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Covenant Hospice for their professional and loving care.

Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25
