To the Bohannon's..
I regret that I writing this from Iceland and not able to get back for the celebration of Mr. B's wonderfully full life. I can hear his booming Irish voice whenever he responded to the question of "how ya doing"...he would shake his head, smile that mischevious snile and say to whomever asked as if it was the first time he answered it ..."I have never had a bad day...some better then others but none bad" ....

Mr B. mentored me in the early part of my career in the food business and to this day when I am stumped and need inspiration I ask myself..What would Mr. B do...?

Many other memories to share about Jack which I will do in a letter to the clan.

Jill will attend in my stead...God Bless you all Bohannon's!

Thanks to all who expressed your kind feelings for Jack in this format. The sameness of the messages is a true indicator of the way he treated people in every area of his life. Family, friends, business,entertainment....he
gave everyone RESPECT and in turn received it from all. He was a "Good Guy" , and that's the best accolade a man can earn.

To the Bohannon Family
I will always remember meeting Jack after my son,Jay, became engaged to Moira. He welcomed us so warmly into the family. Our paths didn't cross often, but I will remember him playing in the band at "Bubba's" and jitterbugging with him at Jay and Moira's wedding. I can only imagine how much he will be missed by his family and friends.

To the Bohannon Family,

Jack was a great person, and friend.
One of my fist memories of Jack was in May 1989 during our first sales meeting. We were discussing what our plans were for the upcoming weekend and I had mentioned that I was going to Sea Isle City. Jack told me that is daughter Meghan was also going to be in Sea Isle and maybe I would run into her. To make a long story short, while my friend Rich and I were out later that night we ended up getting in a small car accident... Rich accidentaly backed up into Meghans car. And not knowing it was Jack's daughter Meghan. I remember her saying "My dad's going to Kill me!" We started to exchange information and she told me who her father was and i couldnt believe I had literally "ran" into his daughter.
Four dollars later at the pay phone we got a hold of Jack.

After that Jack and I were close ever since, and every now and then we laugh at our first meeting together.

My deepest sympathy to the Bohannon family. I will miss Jack's visits to CDC on St. Patrick's day and the song he would always sing to all of us in the office. He was truly a gracious gentleman.

Having known Jack for almost 20 years, he will be remembered for always being in a terrific mood, having that winning smile and always ready with another story. A true gentleman and a man of great character and integrity. He was “one of a kind” and I am a better person for having known him. For those of us in the food industry, every time we gather at a future event there will be Jack Bo stories told over and over. I will certainly miss him and our annual outings at the Phillies games.

Moira, I know that you will cherish the precious memories and moments you have had with your grandfather. Those who have shown us love, brought us joy, and made us laugh have given us the lasting gifts of a beautiful life —and blessed our memories forever. I send you and yours love today.

Jack was one of those rare salespeople that people were naturally drawn to: Entertain with stories and jokes, Had a great sales presence with all his customers, and had a heart big enough to spend time with both veterans and new sales people who wanted to learn something new from a master! Sorry I can't be there this week, praying for comfort to his large family! Tim Dean, Sun Rich Fresh Foods.

Our prayers go out to the entire Bohannon family. We lost one of the "Good Guys" , he was everyones mentor and everyones friend. I listened to him play at Bubba's and worked with him at CDC for many years. You could always count on Jack to make you smile, he would always come down to my booth at a food show and it would be near the end with maybe one or two hours left to go in the show and he would say " Mike you know what the monkey said when they cut his tail off? It won't be long now". I heard it a hundred times and it was always funny when Jack said it. He will be sorely missed. The Barry Family

To Jack's family: In our memory Jack will be remembered two ways. One of us sees him as a great athletic, team mate and pal. The other sees him as a great dancer and one time boy friend. When we met at reunions or elsewhere we always came away feeing happy and rewarded for the moment. The last time we met was in the Ocean Drive in Sea Isle. We will dearly miss him. Jack always loved telling and hearing jokes. I remember telling him a great one at the Christmas Party last year. When he stopped coming to food shows, it was just not as much fun. I will think of him always.

It was my privilege to know and work with Jack, whose personality was bigger than life. When I think of Jack, the words "kind" and "gentleman" come to mind - Jack was both. My sincere sympathies go out to his family.

To Jack's Family
I worked with Jack at CDC for many years and will miss him dearly. He was such a character and always brought a smile to your face whenever he was around. On Saint Patrick's Day he always came into the office and gave all the ladies of the office green carnations !
We have all lost a wonderful person and he will be missed.

I had the honor of knowing Jack for 19 years. He always had a smile for everyone, and his integrity both in and out of work was incredible. We have lost a great freind, and mentor. He was a man of faith, and lived that way. He always closed our conversations with, "give your family a hug for me, and God bless!" We will all miss him deeply.

Uncle Jack will truly be missed! I will never forget looking forward to Bohannon Reunions and get-togethers because of the great traditions of this family. Uncle Jack's singing and leadership will always be part of those amazing memories!
We have lost a legend, and will have to wait until we meet him again at the "Family Reunion" he has now joined in Heaven. Thank you for the memories...I promise they will live on forever!!
