He, like Neil Kabinoff, was a teammate of mine, a friend of mine and one of my favorite people . . . EVER. Just a sweet man who just happened to be a helluva good ballplayer. R.I.P. amigo.

I met Mitch four years ago at the Dixon Center on Cabrini's campus. I had just begun a yearly membership to the pool, and our paths crossed randomly one day. I don't recall our first conversation, but I remember him as an extremely outgoing and dedicated man. Regardless of how busy he was, Mitch was always willing to pause and chat.

Cabrini is definitely a better place having had Mitch as part of the campus family for 35+ years. His friendship and passion for mentorship have been inspirational. May he RIP.

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences for your loss! I had the pleasure of knowing Mitch during our childhood together in the 1960's. His wit, good nature and loyalty was always present as well as his athletic prowess. In fact, as our quarterback he led our AZA team to the championship of the league one year. His diving one hand interception, which won the game, remains one of the most spectacular athletic feats I have ever witnessed, the professional ranks included. Please keep those fine memories with you- always! Best regards, Don Papa
