I didn't get my birthday call, and I knew something was wrong. Dad #2, Bob taught me so much, I started working for him at 18 years old and will never forget the kindness and the knowledge he taught me. I will miss him. Thank you Bob.

Bob was a great guy with the answer to every photography question I ever asked, and a cool story to go along with each. You are missed.

Having read all the messages, there's really nothing to add.
I knew him through the Mullahy Company and he was
perhaps THE most professional person I encountered in business. (as was his staff). But he was a very special person. I know he used
to call some of his older clients on their birthdays - year in and year out. A little thing, but memorable, despite the professional constraints he must have had.
I was very sorry to learn of his passing.

Bob... you were truly my best friend. Nothing in my life will be the same not being able to call or email you about it. I wish after graduation I didnt live so far so I would of been able to see you more. But I will treasure the times me and my husband did get to come see you.

When I first met Bob, I didn't know what to expect. He was a kind and gentle man that knew so much about photography. While attending Antonelli Institute, Bob had become my favorite teacher, a second father and my best friend. He was always there for me when I needed advice or help on school work. Even since graduating, Bob and I have kept in touch. Photographing together and sharing stories about our lives. My life changed for the better when I met Bob. He will always remain a important part in my life, and I will miss him deeply. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all who knew him. Bobby G, you are one amazing person and life will not be the same without you. Love you deeply.

Smile for the camera; it’s not easy to do
Someone is missing from our troupe
The colors have changed to silver and grey
The light is fading from our happy stage
Gone are the careful, thoughtful strides
As we struggled to master the four by five
Never could we conceive that there would be the day
When the last sounds of his encouragement would slowly drift away
We’ll awake tomorrow to a new emptiness
When shutter speeds and f-stops might not make sense
But we’ll remember him as a man full of life
As he demanded we see the world in a different light
His passing takes our breath away
His absence beats our hearts with pain
Yet he’ll always be there in darkness and bright
Whether shooting in Color or Black & White
So shed a tear if you must, but not too many more
He would not want it that way for us; we have too much in store
He knew his stuff, he mentored us well, we’ll follow his example
To be the best we can possibly be in whatever life we sample
Now smile for the camera, let’s have some fun
That’s no way to look with swollen eyes and make-up runs
Be happy we knew him and can call him our friend
Cause there’s some Bobby G. in all of us and that will never end…

I met Bob and his son when I first started working at Berry & Homer in 1993. He and Bob Jr. had exacting standards for producing their photographs. His secretary Anna Baronett was their right hand. Later, Travis Buterbaugh joined in Bob's adventures. Together, they fit the unique puzzle we added our pieces to called Berry & Homer. I was privileged to be part of such a world class player in the realm of photography. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Bob always pushed us to be better than we thought we could be-- never to accept "Good Enough" . Take comfort in knowing that sprit will endure in thousands of his followers.

To paraphrase an old photography advertisement, his life was amazing and we have the photographs to prove it - family, photography and teaching.
My wife and I only knew him a little over a year but we feel like we knew him a lifetime.
His photography and teaching excellence are well known. What really made him special was his genuine ability to make everyone he met feel special too.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn and family. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.

I met Bob in 1974 when we worked together at LS Williams. We've stayed friendly ever since! He was a guest speaker at RIT when I was a student there. We've worked together professionally since 1977. We exchanged guest lecture appearances in each others' class rooms. He would speak to my college (CCP) students, I would guest critique his graduating students' portfolios. Bob had a lot of energy! He has always been a source of inspiration to me & he will be sorely missed.
I pray God will watch over Bob in Heaven & give consolation to his family here!
Bob's contribution to commercial photography was HUGE!

I first met Robert in 1973 at the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association Convention, where he was a speaker.
I was very impressed with his abilities, talents at that time and have worked with him at many association events over the years.
He was truly a great photographer and presenter sharing his insight about photography with all.
Condolences to his family on their loss.
He will be missed by all of the photography industry.

Bob we will all miss you. Carolyn and kids, my deepest sympathy for the loss of this special soul. The world has been touched and blessed by him and his memory will be cherished and his photographic work, so very significant will live on. And all of us, old and young, he was our mentor and his selfless teachings will be significant for generations to come.
