MICHAEL F., age 56, suddenly on January 16, 2012. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Neill); loving father of Michael F. and Nicholas A. Imbrenda; cherished son of Vincent J. Imbrenda; also survived by one sister, Susan Imbrenda and 2 brothers. Relatives and friends are invited Michael's Viewing and Funeral Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, 9:30 A.M., from Our Lady of Consolation Church, Princeton Ave. and Tulip St., Phila. PA 19135. Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Int. private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory can be made to PA SPCA, 350 E. Erie Ave., Phila. PA 19134.

Barb,
Just found out this weekend about Mike when we went to LBI to check on the house. Please accept our deepest sympathies from my entire family. 13th Street in Beach Haven will not be the same without his smiling face. A great guy since the day my grandfather Frank introduced us. I will miss our late night shuffle board games at the Hud. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your boys.

I would like to send my condolences and mike was a grat guy. I known him for a long time since i was a kid. he worked with my uncle henry and i always use to see him going to my dads house. He was always in good spirits and always had kind words. so sorry i only just heard a couple of days ago a would have love to attend his services. as they say the good die young. he will be greatly missed and loved.

Barb--It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the loss of Mike. He was such a wonderful guy - always with a smile. We will most definitely miss seeing him sit on the porch at LBI, beer in hand, watching the active bay. LBI just won't be the same. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Imbrenda family. I have talked to Mike weekly for the two years I have known him. His passing has had a heavy impact on our lives. We run a Christian Men's Residency and we bought our appliances through Mike. He was a class act. A giving person. The one and only time I ever met him he insisted on buying me and my friends lunch. May God bless Mike's entire family. Mike surely was a blessing to ours!

Barbara, Mike and Nick, May you find comfort in your memories...so many special events and activities you shared. When we first became regulars in your neighborhood in Beach Haven, whatever project Andy, Ralph, Adam and Levi were doing with their wave runners or boat, "Philly Mike" would jump right in and help. Friendly, generous, often had a funny story to share...a hard working man who also knew how to relax and enjoy being with you, Barbara and your sons...a really nice guy who will be missed -and remembered fondly- by so many!

I'm so heartbroken.... Mike was a real mans man. They don't make them like that anymore. He was so kind and would give the shirt off his own back to help others. I remember I use to always talk Arabic to him and his response would be " Hussein my mikey would know what ur saying" lol. He was such a good father and so proud of his two boys. They are lucky to have had a dad like that. He was devoted to his friends and family and I am blessed I had him in my life. Thank you for always being there and lending an ear in my time of need. I will truley miss you. Allah yerhamo ( god rest his soul) . He is truly loved and will never be forgotten. We love you big mike.......

Well Toots, can't believe your gone.I look down the street and see your truck parked in the driveway and it breaks my heart. I'm still at a lose at how fast you slipped away. You were always kind to Mike and me and the girls and we will never forget that. We've had alot of good times together, even bowling when all I did was throw gutter balls, but you still cheered me on. I hope and pray you are happy and at peace, and I guess God's refrigerator was on the blink and that's why he called you home to fix it, but now what are the rest of us to do without you. I love you Barb and the boys, you all have been part of our lives for so long and now a piece is missing. Longshore Ave will never be the same ! The world is a sadder place without Mike in it. He was the sweetest, kindest & generous man to all who have had the pleasure to meet him and the honor of calling him a friend. I will miss his Donald Duck talk and how he called " Hey Toots". It never mattered how long it had been since you saw Mike, he was always glad to see you and greeted you with a hearty Hello, a smile and a big bear hug. Through Vinnie, I just heard the sad news about Michael. I will always remember the special times we shared sitting around my Aunt Carol's kitchen table in Philly. I still have the "Janis Joplin" record album he gave to me, when we were teenagers, growing up on Cambria street in Kensington. I'm sure Carol Imbrenda was there to welcome him into heaven. Thinking of the Imbrenda family as you go through this difficut time.

Barabara, and the Entire imbrenda Clan,
Words of comfort are so empty when your life has been shattered by the loss of someone you loved so dearly. You are Forever in my thoughts and prayers.
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Michael has made an imprint on so many lives, and he was so very proud of his Sons' whenever I would see him, and ask about the family, he would Beam with pride when speaking about his Sons. He was such an amazing friend and neighbor, I can only imagine him being nothing less then an Phenomenal Father.
Michael was an Extroadinary Man and a Dear Friend, He will be missed. I have wonderful memories of him turning on the fire plug at "D" Street, letting all us kids spray him with the water, and dropping me off at Aunt Connie's house in Juaniata, Connie would take me down to Beach Haven (LBI) with her, Babe and Michael would teach me how to fish and go crabbing. I can see and smell the Bay as if it was only yesterday, this was probably more then 30 yrs ago =) The Entire Imbrenda clan have always been so good to me and my Family, I hope you all know that everything that you all have ever done for us, is so greatly appreciated, and we hold you all in a special place, within our hearts, thank you will never be enough to show you how much it means to us girls.

Dearest Barbara, Mike, Nick and Sue, Both Randy and I know what a wonderful man that Michael was. He was always there for my family. He (Michael) made a hugh inpacked in many lifes, most of all my son's whom he still called Randy Randy. They have just spoken to each other last week, and I am so happy about that. As I write this I still cant believe he has taken a pathway to Heaven. Always good to my family and me for the last 30 years. He was a good soul. Thank you for always being there for me And my sisters. For always Sharing stories of my Mom. For always lending a helping hand..... For being the kind compassionate man that you were. When I was a little girl, I always thought of you as a real life Superman, the way you would pick those fridges and washers up with ease and throw them onto a truck.... As a woman, I felt the same, that you were Superman always with a smile, always helping someone who had a problem, always sharing your lunch with a stray whether it be a cat or a person :).
