Dad,
Still think about you often and after our Mets won the playoff series against the Phillies tonight, I thought about that first ever baseball game you ever took me to at Shea Stadium when I was very small.
With love and respect,
Jamie

My condolences to Barbara and the family. I had dropped out of contact with Charlie, but remember fondly the experiences we had in college.

I had written a message but it didn't seem to post with the photo, so here it is again...
I had the honor to serve with Charlie on the Vestry at the Church of the Good Shepherd. I miss him very, very much. Charlie was a thoughtful, caring and kindly man -- not to mention that he was a good-looking guy and always a sharp dresser! He and his lovely wife Barbara have been ever in the heart and soul of our church, faithful in tough times as well as the good times. I have no doubt that he is in the arms of God.
We love you Charlie!

We adored Charlie . He was modest about his accomplishments.
He was a warm human being who touched our hearts with his radiant smile and quick wit. We shall remember him with great affection and we shall miss him. Rest in peace .

I will remember Charlie as an upbeat, humble and loving man. When I left my job at Good Shepherd, I remember Charlie saying to me "I'm going to miss you with all of my heart". These words made me feel loved and appreciated, how great is that? Charlie was a class-act. May his memory be eternal.
