JOHN JOSEPH HAGAN, ESQ. "JACK" of Newtown, PA died peacefully on January 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gail C. Hagan, devoted father to John J. Hagan, Jr., Michael J. Hagan (Joyce), Carolyn Hagan Stubbs (Richard), Christopher D. Hagan, and Allison Hagan Gumbs (Douglas), and cherished Pop-Pop to his 10 grandchildren: Hannah, Kiera, Julia, Michael, Alexis, Charlotte, Colin, Emma, Catherine, and Chloe. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was predeceased by parents James and Naomi Hagan, and brothers James S. Hagan, and Fr. David I. Hagan, O.S.F.S., and survived by siblings Rosemary Lignelli, Naomi Hagan, and Patrick Hagan (Maryann). He was a graduate of North Catholic High School, LaSalle University, and Temple University Law School, and served in the U.S. Navy as an officer and pilot. An attorney for more than 40 years and long-time resident of Yardley, and later New Hope, Jack enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends.
Viewings to take place at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley, PA from 5-8pm on Wednesday and again from 10-11am on Thursday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:15am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements:

What a blessing to grow up next door to a great guy and great family. I will forever remember his red VW beetle and calm character, 20' jump shot in the driveway, and Sunday Mass in the Hagans living room. He was a generous man with a generous spirit.

I am so sorry I am unable to attend the service for Jack to witness his departure from his earthly life and see him rise up to his heavenly home which he so rightly deserves.

Alison and Doug have often related how generous he was with his charities, such as assisting young people reach their dream of going to college.
