THOMAS, 47, died suddenly on February 7, 2005 at his residence in Stillpond, MD. He was formally of Berwyn, PA and graduated from Conestoga High School in 1976. In 1978 he graduated George Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, where he earned an RT, MRI. Tom worked for 15 years at Anne Arundel Medical Center MRI Unit, Annapolis, MD., where he was a valued and compassionate employee. Tom is greatly missed by his family, family friends, co-workers, and Stillpond and Chestertown MD neighbors and friends and will always be remembered for his charming, friendly and kindly manner. He was a sensitive artist and poet, a master craftsman and gifted teacher. In 1976 Tom was Water Skiing Director at YMCA Camp Tockwogh and taught sailing and waterskiing many years there after. Tom was a leader and was at his very best when he was helping others. A Memorial Service was held on Feb. 13th at the Chester River Unitarian Church in Chestertown, MD. Tom was attending regular services at the church and found great comfort in the congregation. Barbara Burr Leonard, his wife, survives Tom; his parents Chuck and Jill Leonard of Berwyn PA and Deltona, FL; his sisters Elizabeth Leonard-Leshner of Villanova and Martha Leonard of Tampa, FL., and his brother Jamie Leonard and sister-in-law Ann Martinez Leonard of Folsom, NJ. Tom had 2 nieces, Juliet Ann Frances Leshner 16 years and Sophia Martinez Leonard 3 years, as well as 2 nephews, Jeffrey Scott Washington, 14 years and Benn James Leonard, 14 months old.
