It is my wish as you move to the days ahead know that our Lord will comfort and give you peace and joy that only comes from him and the world does not understand. It is alright to grieve and shed a tear, then let it go and put heart and hand into the Master's. You had wonderful parents that I loved dearly. Keep your heads held high and You have a great legacy to be proud of and to build upon.
May Our Lord continue to Bless and keep you and Family always.

Edward, Jackie, Collie, Melvin and Greg,
I extend my deepest and sincere sympathy to you all. Your dad was truly an inspiration and mentor to all of us young guys growing up in Campostella Heights. Sometimes when I would come home to visit I would stop by your house to chat with him or go to the auto repair shop on the corner of Campostella Rd and Montclair and have conversations with him and the wisdom that he imparted was awesome. We would talk about the times the young guys in the community had growing up as well as current events and I'll always remember how he and Edward and Snookie had those bowling duels. I especially enjoyed the opportunity that he gave us to work with him and the children in his business. Never had so much fun working. He surely is to be missed.

For all of you grieving know that you will get to the other side of grief and that with time you will find healing and peace. I loved my father dearly and sadly lost him as a young adult, in the moment that it happened and for a long time after that I was grieving even though I did not realize it. One day though I came to a place of peace and I was able to look at his photographs once again without dissolving into tears, I was able to remember all of the happy moments and special things about him and I was able to cherish the lessons he taught me simply through his actions and been himself. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful father and I am at peace knowing that he is at peace and that his work here is done. To all of you reading this I hope that you will come to a place of healing and peace.
