Horace Bratten
Virginia Beach, Va - Horace Branch Bratten, 81, a U.S. Marine veteran, who lived most of his life in Virginia Beach, VA, passed away due to natural causes, on Thursday, November 8, 2012, in Great Falls, MT at Benefis Hospital.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Horace was born in Norfolk, Virgina on January 5, 1931, to Charlie Branch Bratten and Catherine Jeanette (Hodges) Bratten. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War, who loved hunting, deep sea fishing, and just being with family.
Horace is survived by his sister, Amber Laverne Bratten Gilot of Saint Clairsville, OH; his daughter, Gail Yvonne Bratten Stanley, of Virgina Beach, VA; his sons, Curtis Wayne Bratten of Covington, LA,and Kevin Branch Bratten, of Great Falls, MT, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Catherine Bratten; his wife, Jane Mullins Bratten; and his son, Joseph Howard Bratten.
