Chesapeake - Powell Garrison Savage Jr., 83, of Chesapeake passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.He was born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia the son of the late Powell G. Savage Sr. and Norvilla Rooks. Powell retired after 33 years with the Ford Motor Company. Powell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Savage; children, Theresa Stern, and Michael A. Savage wife Nancy both of Virginia Beach; one sister Bettye Dye of San Diego; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 5-7pm in the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach. A celebration of his life will take place 11:00 am Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the funeral home, followed by a reception. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
