Emilio Coppola Obituary

Emilio M. Coppola, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away suddenly on December 29, 2019. He was born on June 13, 1965 in Tarrytown, New York. He is predeceased by his father, Emilio J. Coppola, and his brother, Douglas Coppola. He is survived by his beloved wife, Melanie (Tinkler) Coppola, and his children; Brooke Coppola, Stephanie Schumann (Christi Palmer) and Kevin Schumann. Also surviving are his mother, Barbara Coppola, brothers; Paul (Antonella) Coppola, Eric (June) Coppola and Michael Coppola and countless close family and friends.

Emilio was a spiritual man, a passionate entrepreneur and a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He truly lived life to the fullest, cherishing, above all else, his time spent with family and friends.

A private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Urantia Foundation.

Emilio was and wonderful friend and and a dedicated spiritual man who served men and women throughout the country and world.
I miss him and loved as my brother.
When he lived in the northeast he frequently would visit me and our discussions about God, religion, philosophy and cosmology, led by his questions, were outstanding.
I look forward to seeing him again on the mansion worlds on high that Jesus spoke of.
Glory to God for men like Emilio.

My husband, Anthony Finstad, and I knew Emilio through participation in the Urantia Book Fellowship. Anthony worked on many projects with him. Ill always appreciate the laughs we shared. I am sorry its been quite a few years since I was fortunate enough to enjoy being in Emilios company. We love Emilio. We are saddened by his sudden passing. I want to share that when we returned early January from being out of town over the Holidays, we found a sympathy card in our mail from Emilio. It was dated 12-10-2019. My husbands daughter passed on Halloween 2019 and Emilio had written out a card for him. Obviously, we were very touched to receive a card from Emilio and Melanie. It was so much more poignant knowing he had passed before we had even read it. We are grateful to have shared our love for God and Jesus with Emilio. We are very happy knowing he will continue to be our brother forever more on our journey beyond this world. Our prayers our with his family.

We were so saddened to hear about Emilio.
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We had the pleasure of seeing Emilio at pre-school fundraisers and a few social gatherings before you moved. He was a wonderful, fun, and kind guy. That's what we remember. We hope your memories, family, and friends bring you what you need at this very difficult time.

I originally met Emilio through business. It didn't take long to build a friendship. Emilio is one of those people in life you are thankful you met. My sincere condolences to his family. Emilio was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

Emilio is a living example of brotherly love. He is a great friend and soulmate. About four years ago I was in a deep dark place and shutting myself off from everybody, Emilio found out about this and showed up at my door the next day, driving 4 hours to get there. That is who Emilio is a friend willing to drop everything to help you out.
My prayers are with his family and friends. And I look forward to seeing him again when we pass from this world into the next adventure in the universe. Thank you brother for being such a good friend.

I had just met Emilio this year as a fellow reader of the Urantia book. He was a great friend and helped me through the worst year of my life with his friendship. He will be sorely missed!
