Charlotte Wright Obituary

Charlotte F. Wright

Norfolk - Charlotte F. Wright, passed away on July 19, 2018. She was born on September 18, 1939 to the late Roy H. and Mildred French in Sevierville, Tennessee. She is predeceased by her husband Fred E. Wright, son Richard Wright, brother Wayne French, and her infant twin sisters.

Charlotte was a paralegal for 53 years. She was a member of the 1957 Norview Ladies Alumni Group, and the First Families of Tennessee (French Family). She also loved word searches, reading novels and listening to music, like Elvis and Vince Gill. She cherished her animals, especially Sasha. The Phantom of the Opera was her favorite musical. In her early days she loved eating out at her favorite restaurant, El Rodeo, on Virginia Beach Blvd in Norfolk.

Charlotte loved helping to raise her only granddaughter and cherished every moment they spent together. She wrote that her proudest family achievement was Elisabeth graduating from law school in 2014, although she was too sick to attend.

She is survived by her son Ronald Wright of Norfolk; granddaughter Elisabeth Wright Davis and her husband Kyle of Virginia Beach, VA; Elisabeth's mother and stepfather Dawn and Phil and family; caretaker Jaronda Fuller and family, and many other loved ones.

The family would like to give special thanks to Grace Hospice for their compassionate caring of Granny during her final months.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer your condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.

My fondest memories of Mrs. Wright are from my high school years. I visited the house frequently to hang out with Rickey. She rarely ever said anything about the loud music, I actually think she liked a lot of what he played. And she was always so sweet to me. I hope she and my Mom and meeting now to exchange some wild stories about those times!

My deepest sympathies are with you all. She was a very special lady. Rest in peace, sweet Charlotte.
