Carolyn Crafford Cobb, 47, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 9, 2019.Born in Portsmouth, Carolyn is the daughter of Robert and Nancy Crafford. She was a 1989 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and later graduated from Old Dominion University. Carolyn was a long-time member of Court Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth, where she was very involved with children's church. A loving and devoted wife and mother, Carolyn participated in the lives of her family, as a room mother, volunteer, and actively supporting her children in all of their endeavors. Most of all, her family will celebrate her life, because of her faith in her Lord and Savior. Including her parents, Carolyn is survived by her husband, Derwood Oliver "Chip" Cobb, II; children, Derwood Oliver "Dylan" Cobb, III, Olivia Denise Cobb and Laura Brooke Cobb; siblings, Dr. Mark Crafford and Tammy Sprinkle; a niece, Ashley Hare; a nephew, Trey Hill, as well as other extended family. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Great Bridge Baptist, 640 Battlefield Blvd, South, Chesapeake. The interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Park, Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Duke University Medical Center, Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710.
