Emily Cross Dalton
Suffolk - Emily Cross Dalton, 96, of Suffolk passed away on January 21, 2018. She was an avid quilter and founding member of the Suffolk Quilters Guild, member of Oxford United Methodist Church, and also taught classes on quilting for the City of Suffolk. Her family and friends treasure her handcrafted items.
She is survived by her sisters; Dorothy Gatling of Suffolk, Mildred Beauter of Norfolk, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and, great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Dalton; sisters, Virginia Larke Cross, Ann Cross Beaton; a brother, Henry Parker Cross, Jr.
Emily's family would like to extend a special thank you to Emily's very special friend, Marsha Rooks, for everything she did for Emily.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00am in R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home, 509 W. Washington Street Suffolk, Virginia with burial to follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make donation to a charity of your choice. Condolences can be offered to the family online at RWBakerFH.com.
