Floyd E. "Gene" Watson
North Augusta, SC - Entered into rest Sunday, September 9, 2018, Mr. Floyd Eugene "Gene" Watson, 41.
Gene was born in Atlanta, GA and grew up in Griffin, GA. He was active duty in the US Navy for 20 years and an active member of American Vets Post 119 in Owensboro, KY. Gene had lots of friends throughout the country and enjoyed playing pool and golfing.
Gene was preceded in death by his father, the late Malcolm David Watson. Survivors include his mother: Laura M. Morris (Roy); brothers: Thomas E. Watson, John A. Watson; maternal grandmother: Laura A. Jimenez; nephews: Dylan A. Watson, Thomas A. Watson; niece: Brittany Leighann Watson; and loving true friend: Katrina Henry; and numerous extended family and close friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Chaplain Reilly Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com.
