Jason L. Andrews

Chesapeake - Tuesday August 23, 2016 MAC Jason Leroy Andrews lost his life to his battle with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). He has joined our Heavenly Father along with his daughter, Madelynn Grace Andrews, who passed 6 years ago at the age of 5 months due to SIDS. Together, we know, they look down and watch over us as pictured above.

Jason is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Andrews, from Chesapeake, VA and his 2 children; Teagan Jean 7 years old and Xavier Sherwood 3 years old. Jason's mother, Pamela Buckey, resides in West Virginia and his father, Danny Andrews in Florida.

Jason's 2nd parents (Rebecca's father and mother) SMC (Ret) Michael Yarbrough and Caroline Yarbrough from Chesapeake, VA cherished Jason as their own son.

For those of you who are reading this and are suffering with any form of PTSD please STOP. TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND REACH OUT! There are so many hands ready to clasp yours to help you. They are just waiting for you to take the first step to recovery.

Jason's family is holding a closed casket viewing at Altmeyer Funeral Home on Greenwich Rd in Virginia Beach, VA Monday August 29, 2016 from 7pm to 8:30 pm.

The funeral will be held Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 1pm graveside at the Albert G. Horton Veteran's Cemetery Suffolk, VA. Jason will be laid to rest with his daughter, Madelynn, who has been honored at the Albert G. Horton Veteran's Cemetery for the past 6 years.

Rebecca and her family would like to thank the military community for their love and support along with family and hundreds of Jason's friends.
