Leola J. Dyson VIRGINIA BEACH - Ms. Leola J. Dyson, sparkling and energetic personality at radio station WRAP, of the 5600 block of Weslyn Drive, went home to be with the Lord Dec. 5, 2008. She was the director of public relations and a radio personality at WRAP radio station for more than 20 years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where she was in the Deaconess Ministry, was a Pastor's Aide and a church mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Dyson. She is survived by one son, Presiding Elder William A. Dyson (Dr. Marianne Dyson) of the Portsmouth/Richmond/Roanoke District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church; seven grandchildren; three grandsons, William II of Paris, France, Sandeo Paul of Atlanta and Michael of Richmond; four granddaughters, Duchess Gonzalez (Juan) of Austin, Texas, Tiffany Penson (Dino), Holly Dyson and Heather Dyson, all of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Bethany Baptist Church, 2587 Campostella Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Jake Manley will preside. Flowers may be sent to Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, who are handling the arrangements.
