Murrill R. Rodgers
Chesapeake - Murrill R. Rodgers, 76, of Earle Avenue went home to be with the Lord December 27, 2012. He was the son of the late Murrill and Fannie Rodgers. Murrill retired from Dominion Virginia Power as a Line Foreman Supervisor with more than Thirty-Nine years of service, he was a member at Raleigh Heights Baptist Church and was a deacon and former chairman. He also was a former Scout Master for Troop #50 at Rosemont Christian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene S. Rodgers; sons, Rodney Rodgers and his wife, Sharon; and Robin Rodgers and his wife, Mary; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Kay Rodgers and Joy R. Meyers and her husband, Ray.
A funeral service will be held Mon., Dec. 31, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Raleigh Heights Baptist Church; the family will receive friends following the service. He will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Rosewood Memorial Park. Graham Funeral Home will be caring for arrangements.
