Wayne Jack Cottrell MOYOCK - Wayne Jack Cottrell, 68, of the 200 block of Beechwood Shores Drive, died July 23, 2008, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cottrell, a native of Portland, Ore., was the son of the late Jack Christopher Cottrell and Audrey Gilbreth Cottrell and the husband of Yvonne Morrison Cottrell of the residence. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran having served in Vietnam and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He graduated from Monterey Peninsula College in California. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Wayne J. Cottrell II and wife Mandee of Wake Forest, N.C.; a sister, Nancy Proctor and husband Ken of Daphne, Ala.; and a brother, Rex Cottrell and wife Tessie of Panama City, Fla. A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles M. Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church and other times at the residence. You may sign the online register at www.twifordfh.com.
