William Kidd Obituary

William Leland Kidd, Sr. (Billy) 82, made a peaceful transition Sunday March 14th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He grew up in the Snug Harbor section of Ocean View in Norfolk and graduated from Norview High School. He went on to the Division of William and Mary which is now Old Dominion University. He worked as a salesman for Nabisco. He is described by his friends and family as sweet and funny, easy-going, light-hearted and friendly. He was a loving father, brother, and friend.

He was the son of the late Blonie B. and Lucy Nell Kidd. He is survived by his sister Laverne Coley, his daughter, Beverly Kidd, son, Bill Kidd,Jr, daughter-in-law Allison Kidd, Grandchildren Kylie Kidd, Dylan Sisson, Drake Sisson, niece Susan Hardesty, Jimmy Hardesty, nephew Larry Coley, Jr., ex-wife and friend Carolyn Stubbs, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A small private service will be held to honor his memory this summer.
