Francis J. "Frank" Tepovich


Francis J. Tepovich VIRGINIA BEACH - Francis J. "Frank" Tepovich, 61, of Virginia Beach, and formerly of Midland, passed away unexpectedly March 1, 2008, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Jacksonville, Fla. Born July 28, 1946, he was a son of Rose Tepovich of Midland and the late Michael "Punchy" Tepovich. Frank was a proud retiree of the U.S. Navy after 20 years having retired as a boiler tech chief petty officer. He was to retire this July after 25 years with civil service. As a 1964 graduate of Midland High School, he loved to attend the Midland 4th of July activities. He also loved his Honda Goldwing and spending time riding, especially in the state of Florida. Frank's greatest passion was his family and he will be sadly missed by those who knew him, especially his wife of 37 years, whom he referred to as his beautiful bride, Patricia Walters Tepovich; his mother, Rose; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Chief Petty Officer Francis J. Tepovich Jr., U.S. Navy, Danny and Carin Tepovich, all of Virginia Beach; and a sister, Christine Tepovich Gorst and her husband Charlie Gorst of Daytona Beach, Fla. He was so proudly looking forward to his first grandchild due in September to Danny and Carin, and he is also survived by his large family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends especially in the Virginia Beach area. Preceding him in death besides his father, was a daughter, Tammy Tepovich and a brother, Michael Tepovich. Friends are welcome to the memorial service at 6 p.m. and then greet the family after until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage United Methodist Church, 815 Baker Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
