Donald V. (O'Connell) Page Jr. Obituary
Donald V. Page, Jr. (O'Connell)

Virginia Beach - Don Page, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Barbara O'Connell.

Don was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Princess Anne High School before joining the Army.

He served his Country honorably during the Vietnam War, behind enemy lines, as a Green Beret. It was during this time that he traveled to Okinawa where he earned his Black Belt in Karate. Don owned his own Karate dojo (school) where he trained many students, including his sisters, in the Shorin Ryu style of Karate. All of his students respected and admired their teacher.

He was Vice President of Holiday Health and Fitness when he met his wife Stacy in Augusta, GA. They married in 1986 and over time returned to Virginia Beach.

In 1991, Don found his passion for videography and opened a video production company becoming an esteemed producer in the wedding videography community. He enjoyed the wonderful families whose special moments he captured and the great friends he made along the way.

Don will be especially remembered by his friends and family for his charisma, dancing, gourmet cooking, and as "The Silver Fox".

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Stacy, siblings; Dickie Page, Debbie East (Lee), Denise O'Connell, Suzy Phillips; daughter Tracie Stiles (Cliff); grandchildren Bill, Savannah, Donnie and Conner; nephew Shawn; and niece Bonnie (Chad); extended family Manny, Cathy, Sherri and dear friends at Miss Kitty's.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, Va Beach. Following the service, a reception will be held at the home of his sister, Denise, whose address will be provided at the memorial. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com
