Virginia Beach - Christine Jones Fulcher was born March 12, 1922, she entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2014. Born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Charles Leonard and Ida West Jones, she was the widow of Woodrow "Woody" Fulcher, her husband of 59 years and was predeceased by brothers, Melvin (Ruby), Tilden (Marie) and their son, Bill Jones.

She graduated from Maury HS and Kee's Business College. Chris retired from Priest Electronics after many years of service. After retirement she volunteered at Sentara Leigh Hospital for seventeen years and with Meals on Wheels, she was a charter member of Wesleyan Memorial Church and was a faithful worker and attendant until she was no longer able to participate. Chris will be remembered with love by her sister, Martha Riggan and Martha's son Douglas of Coral Gables, FL.; nephews, Jerry Fulcher and his wife Margaret, Ronald and Leonard Jones.

The family is especially appreciative of her wonderful neighbors, Bob and Elner LeCompte and their family who lovingly made it possible for her to live in her home until the end. She had many faithful friends who loved her and will miss her.

The funeral will be held at Smith and Williams Kempsville chapel on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2pm, there will be a visitation one hour prior starting at 1pm. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Wesleyan Memorial UMC, 288 E. Little Creek Rd., Norfolk, VA 23505.
