Charles Berry Obituary
Elsewhere - Lake Elsinore, CA - Charles C. Berry, 82, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was born in Summit, MS and graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree. Charles was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed canoeing, hiking, camping, and bicycling.
While raising his family, he lived in Virginia Beach and was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and Plaza Baptist. Upon retirement from the US Naval Audit Service, Charles and his wife, Rose Mary, enjoyed traveling extensively across the US, Mexico, Canada, and even to his beloved Ireland. They have enjoyed living in California for the last four years.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 54 years, Rose Mary Mizell Berry; his brother, Jerry A. Berry and his wife Charlene of Metairie, LA; his son Roger C. Berry and his wife Christina of Windsor, VA; his daughter Linda Berry Gaugler and her husband David of Lancaster, PA; his daughter Sharon Berry Kirby and her husband Timothy of Braselton, GA; and his daughter Charlene Berry Kakas and her husband Christopher of Temecula, CA. He was also loved by three grandsons: Benjamin, Matthew, and Gavin; and two granddaughters, Miranda and Savannah.
Charles will be missed but never forgotten by family and friends.

May Charles rest in peace. My thoughts go out to his family. We were friends many years ago at Navy Audit.
If I remember correctly he became part of out Information Technology Division.
I remember along time ago he asked for a recommendation on a mechanic just before he was going out of town. I referred him to the mechanic I still use to this day.
He took the car in for repair and left for the trip and the car broke down.
