Lester Hatfield Obituary
Norfolk - Lester Doyle "Pete" Hatfield, 83, passed away December 28, 2017.
Born in Tennessee, he was the son of the late Alozo and Lydia Hatfield and the husband to the late Rita Hatfield. Pete served his country proudly with the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Left to cherish his memory: his son, Lester Doyle Hatfield, Jr.; daughter, Connie Cornwell as well as several other loving family members. He is also survived by a loving and devoted friend/adopted daughter, Gina Montour, her husband, Ed, and their children, Dawn, Matthew, Tyler, and granddaughter, Serenity; special friend, Frank Hilliker; and his beloved cat, Taz II.
The family would like to thank the nurses at the Neuro-ICU Unit at DePaul for their kind and excellent care to Pete.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Dr. Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, from 11a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
