Janet Leigh (King) Decker, 65, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 3, 2021.
Janet was born on May 24, 1955, to the late George and Anita Mae (Shepherd) King. She was an instructional assistant at Bullitt Central High School. She was a member of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Danny Decker; daughter, Jennifer Hadley; stepchildren, Danny Jr., Steven and Amanda Decker; grandchildren, Carley, Savannah, Whitney, Austin, Christopher and Daniel; brother, Ronnie (Kit) Parker; special cousin, Becky Hasting; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home on Preston Highway at John Harper Highway. Burial will follow at Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.

I have so many fond memories of Jan. She was patient and kind, but mostly she was a warm, funny, wonderful person who gave her all to the students in her care. Thanks for all of that love you shared with the students and staff at BCHS. Go with God!
