William Edward Maloney, 70, of Cox's Creek, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Mr. Maloney was born on July 31, 1950, in Louisville to the late James and Mary Dale (Heinsohn) Maloney. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Catholic by faith. He was a 1970 graduate of Durrett High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Wagner; son, Kevin Cooper; and great-granddaughter, Lillian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Denise (Stewart) Maloney; children, Shannon (Keith) Jett, Paula Caulk, Tim (Tracy) Cooper, Allen (Angie) Cooper and Susan Cooper; grandchildren, Justin (Carli), who is deployed serving our country, Jacob (Rebecca), Nathan (Drea), Makayla, Todd (Heather) Lane (Bayleigh), Eli (Maddy), Hayley (Caleb), Kaden, McKenzie, Tory, Erica and JC; 13 great-grandchildren, godsons, Chris and Brian Maloney; siblings, John (Barbara) Maloney Jr., Thomas (Fran) Maloney, Stephen (Jeneda) Maloney and Anita (Mark) Burden; his loving fur companion, Fergie; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Saturday, May 8, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home on Preston Highway at John Harper Highway. Burial will be in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday. Family video at www.subfuneralhome.com
