PEORIA - Dr. Joseph Carl Hafele, 81, of Laramie, Wyo., formerly of Peoria, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo., during surgery for an aortic aneurism.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. until vigil service at 6 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home in Laramie. A celebration of life will be held today, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Newman Center in Laramie, Wyo., with the Reverend Fr. Rob Spaulding as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joseph Hafele Memorial Fund at the University of Wyoming Foundation, 222 S. 22nd St., Laramie, WY 82070, for support of students studying physics; or to the Eppson Center for Senior Citizens, P.O. Box 1755, Laramie, WY 82073.
Services are under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
