EAST PEORIA - Millicent L. Wickwire, 77, of East Peoria died at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, at her residence.
Born Aug. 10, 1928, in Kankakee, a daughter of Emory and Lenny Leutloff, she married Willard Wickwire on Nov. 27, 1948, in Peoria. He died Feb. 25, 2006, in Quincy.
She also was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Kim (and JoAnn) Wickwire of Peoria and Marc Wickwire of East Peoria; and one grandson, Brandon Wickwire of West Peoria.
Mrs. Wickwire was a registered nurse, graduating from Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing in 1950.
She worked at Methodist Medical Center, various nursing homes in the Peoria area and did private practice throughout her career.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be at a later date. Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Mental Health Association of Illinois Valley, 5407 N. University St., Peoria, IL 61614.
