E. Lucille Rumbold
PRINCVILLE - E. Lucille Rumbold of Princeville passed away on her 101st birthday at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.
Lucille was born on March 30, 1917, in Princeville, the daughter of James William and Anna E. (Menold) Roach. She married Ezra Rumbold on May 5, 1968, in Princeville. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1997, in Princeville.
Surviving are one sister, Betty (Roach) Rassi of Peoria; one niece, Joyce (John) Kamp of Washington; one nephew, Jim (Sharon) Rassi of Pekin; three step-daughters, Marie Knobloch of Rock Rapids, IA, Joyce (Glen) Metzger of Lester, IA, and Marlene (Jim) Plattner of Princeville; one step-daughter-in-law, Loretta Rumbold; one step-son-in-law, Richard Graham; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; two great-great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; two great-great-great-nieces; 31 step-grandchildren; 106 step-great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ben Rassi; one niece, Janis (Rassi) Zimmerman; one step-son, Elwin Rumbold; one step-daughter, Jeanette Graham; and one step-son-in-law, Ezra Knobloch.
Lucille worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 29 years before her marriage. She was a member of the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church for 81 years.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Princeville. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the church fellowship hall. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church or Apostolic Christian LifePoints, formerly known as Timber Ridge, in Morton.
