PEKIN - Elizabeth B. Englebrecht, 81, of 224 Caroline St. passed away at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Pekin.
Born Aug. 30, 1926, in Limestone Township, Peoria County, to Carl B. and Eliza M. (Maddox) Johnson, she married Wayne Blair Englebrecht Sr. He died Sept. 17, 1965.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Connie Mae Englebrecht Brackett; two sons, Elmer L. Englebrecht and David J. Englebrecht; one brother, Ben Johnson; and two sisters, Catherine Johnson and Clara Rynearson.
Surviving are eight sons, Wayne B. (Joyce) Englebrecht Jr., Mike E. (Cathy) Englebrecht, Steve L. (Judy) Englebrecht, Ron G. (Jody) Englebrecht, Randy J. (Mary) Englebrecht, Donnie R. (Tammy) Englebrecht and Dan W. (Jackie) Englebrecht, all of Pekin, and Jim A. (Sherry) Englebrecht of Peoria; one daughter, Barb A. Reese of Pekin; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ann, Elsie and Margaret.
A homemaker, Elizabeth enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and camping, and she was a Gene Autry fan.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
