Louis Fraboni Obituary

PEORIA HEIGHTS - Louis Robert Fraboni, age 81, of Peoria Heights passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.

Louis was born on March 21, 1933, to Nello and Martina (Scilacci) Fraboni. He married Sharon Lowder on Oct. 14, 1956, in Peoria.

Louis is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, LeeAnn (Alan) Lentz of Peoria, Ill., Randall K. (Lori) Fraboni of Metamora, Ill., Kimberly (Tom) Schroeder of Germantown Hills, Ill., and Charles Louis Fraboni of Peoria Heights, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Nick (Kilah) Lentz, Marissa Lentz, Martina Fraboni, Vince Fraboni, Andrea Viviano, McKenzie Schroeder and Zackary Schroeder; and his sister, Nancy Edwards of Roseville, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Louis graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Horology. While living in California, Louis worked as a jeweler for several years. When he and his family moved back to the Peoria area, he worked as an electrician for the IBEW 34 until he retired in 1995.

Louis also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Louis was considered a "jack of all trades," and he enjoyed fixing watches. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. The Rev. Stephen Barch will be officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 5 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Peoria Heights Ambulance.
