MORTON - Marge Carlock Kramer, 75, of Decatur, formerly of the Morton area, passed away at 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in her home.
Marge was born Nov. 24, 1936, in Pana, Ill., the daughter of Bill and Mary Waddington Carlock. She married Richard C. Kramer on Feb. 23, 1954, at St. Pat's in Pana, Ill.
Marge enjoyed volunteering at We Care in Morton, Ill., and for the Decatur CAT Retirees Club.
She loved family reunions, fall festivals, covered bridges, music, beautiful paintings and quality time with loved ones. Marge was especially talented at interior home decorating.
She will be remembered for her generosity and caring for others. She always thought of others before herself. She showed her love for others through her caring words and boundless giving heart.
Surviving is her husband, Richard of Decatur. Marge and Richard had three sons, Richard "Dirk" (deceased), William Brett (Maria) of Chicago and Darren Scott (Rachel) of Germantown Hills, Ill. Marge loved her grandkids, Katie, Colton, Quinn, Maria and Weston; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; her home; family and friends. Also surviving are her sisters, Jean Redman of Maroa and Patty (Loren) Glasscock of Oreana; and brother, Greg (LeighAnn) Carlock of Pana.
She will be missed by all who knew the warmth of her smile and her love.
Mass of Christian burial celebrating her life will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Weltin, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Committal service will be at 1 p.m. in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, the Kramer family suggests memorial gifts to Autism Speaks, 2700 S. River Road, Suite 203, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
