PEORIA - Marlene Louise (Mueller) Ramige, 83, of Peoria passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, December 4, 2017, at 5:50 a.m. at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria.
Born July 30, 1934, in East Peoria, IL, Marlene was a long-time resident of Creve Coeur. She delighted in sharing God's love and grace with generations of children. She served in the 2-year-old department at Grace Presbyterian Church for 35 years and as a bus monitor for Tazewell-Woodford Head Start for 20 years.
Marlene was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her beloved Johnny, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would often be found singing hymns while preparing meals and keeping her home impeccably clean. Marlene had joy for life and God's creation and was skilled at making those near her feel deeply loved.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Louise Mueller; her loving husband of over 50 years, John Allyn Ramige; her daughter, Janet (Mark) Taylor; granddaughter, Megan Jones; brother, Kenneth Mueller; and sister, Evelyn Flexter.
She is survived by one son, Steven Ramige of Creve Coeur; and three daughters, Karen Jewell of Springfield, Bonnie Jones of Bartonville and Julie (Stephen) Cordes of Bartonville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jennifer (William), Michael, Melissa (Matthew), Kevin, Kara (Philip), Timothy and Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Edwin, Anna, Connor and Megan.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL, where she was a member. Pastor Greg Grindinger will officiate. Visitation will begin two hours before the service. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, IL.
