KNOXVILLE - Eleanor J. Henderson, 75, of 708 Gilson St., Knoxville, Ill., died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Ill.

She was born on June 2, 1931, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of Chester and Clara M. Gamel Hutson. She married Franklin D. Henderson on Aug. 3, 1952, in the Knoxville United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Ill. He survives of Knoxville, Ill.

Also surviving are four daughters, Karen (Robert) Kennedy of Alcoa, Tenn., Martha (Steven) Thomas of Farmington, N.M., Lisa (Carl) Hinshaw of Heyworth, Ill., and Amy (Greg) Lomax of Willard, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Herman) Sandall of Knoxville, Ill.; and one brother, George (Peggy) Hutson of Berwick, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was reared and educated in rural Knoxville, Ill., graduating from the Knoxville High School in 1949. She worked at the Farmers National Bank in Knoxville, Ill., and later at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Ill., in the housekeeping department for 11 1/2 years.

She was a member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Ill., and its Connie Wieck Circle.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Ill., with the Rev. J.L. Penfold officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Ill. Burial will be in the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Knoxville United Methodist Church or the Galesburg Rescue Mission.
