BARTONVILLE - Robert G. Epley, 52, of Bartonville, Ill., died Monday evening, July 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

He was born on March 23, 1961, in Peoria, Ill. He was the son of Louis and Donna (Bailey) Epley. He married Janice Schafer on Sept. 17, 2011, in Peoria, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Donna Epley of Creve Coeur, Ill.; three children, Cody Epley of Germantown Hills, Ill., Chelsea (Roberto) Garcia of Peoria, Ill., and Cole Epley of Germantown Hills, Ill. He has two stepchildren, Ashley Ingles of Bartonville, Ill., and Aaron Ingles of Morton, Ill. He has one grandson, Aaric Garcia of Peoria; and another grandchild that will be here soon. Robert has two sisters and a brother, Sandra (Terry) Malone of Peoria, Ill., William Epley of Creve Coeur, Ill., and Carol (Jim) Myers of Mesa, Ariz. He also has a half brother, Larry (Connie) Epley. Robert has many nieces and nephews surviving.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Steve Epley.

He has worked 30 years as an electrician out of the IBEW 34, last working for Cover Electric.

He graduated from Woodruff High School.

He cherished his children and family.

He was an avid fisherman and a member of Farmington Sportsman Club, and loved riding his Harley.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel on Thursday. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe, Ill.
