PEORIA - Charles David Siebel Jr., 49, formerly of Peoria, passed away suddenly as the result of a car accident in Aurora on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015.
He was born June 11, 1966, in Peoria, Ill., to Charles Sr. and Artha Bell Siebel.
Chuck was a 1985 Dunlap High School graduate and attended Iowa State University. He was a gifted athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball. He loved music, especially the Grateful Dead, and computers and was an expert "Tweeter." He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed Iowa State football, the White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears and St. Louis Cardinals. He was an IHSA referee and umpire for high school basketball and baseball.
Chuck loved life and his family. Chuck is survived by his wife of 23 years, Julie (Viernow); his son, Charles David Siebel III "Trey;" daughter, Cassidy Kathleen Siebel; his grandmother, Marian Bell Stanford (Bill); his mother-in-law, Julie (the late Bruce Viernow) Dagnon; his sister, Kari Kirchens (Michael); sister-in-law, Lisa (Bruce) Acord; brothers-in-law, Tyler Viernow, Michael (Laura) Dagnon and John (Amy) Dagnon; his nieces and nephews, Connor and Karlyn Kirchens, Bradley and Kathleen Acord and Alan and Gabriella Dagnon; and many aunts and uncles and cousins.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bruce Viernow; grandparents, Carl and Priscilla Siebel; and his grandfather, Arthur W. Bell Sr.
A dear friend to many, he will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, Ill. Family and friends of Chuck will gather for a celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at New Song Community Church, 2858 Hafenrichter Road, Aurora, proceeding to interment at Lincoln Memorial Park, 675 Route 30, Aurora, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siebel Family Fund, c/o Warren Kusay PNC Bank, 2240 S. Eola Road Aurora, IL 60503, or at any PNC Bank, for the benefit of Chuck's children's education.
