Clay J. Edgeston Obituary
Deacon Edgeston accepted Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. He and his wife relocated to Cleveland, OH and joined the Second Ebenezer MB Church. In May 2014, Deacon Edgeston returned to Mississippi and rejoined his home church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Miss Debra Edgeston (Howard Steele) four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bails of Ripley, MS; a niece, Mrs. Bessie (R.D.) Johnson of Kokomo, IN; two sisters-in law, Mrs. Juanita Edgeston and Mrs. Elzona (Lawyer) Story of Milwaukee, WI, a very special friend, Mrs. Onetta Harris of Cleveland, OH, and his close friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon – 8 pm, with the family present from 6 pm – 8 pm, at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley. Service will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Falkner. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Ruckersville Cemetery.
