Dexter Adams Obituary
Dexter W. Adams

MANSFIELD: Dexter W. Adams, age 3, of Mansfield, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Born August 31, 2009 in Galion, he was the son of Shane and Jessica (King) Adams. He had a love for all things baseball. Dexter could be found wearing his cleats anywhere his parents would let him, with his bat and glove not far from hand. When someone would ask who he was, he was always quick to respond with "I'm Dexter Adams, Baseball Player". He worked hard to emulate the swing of Pete Rose and loved watching the Cleveland Indians and the movie, The Sandlot. Even at just the age of three, Dexter was an independent boy who was wise beyond his years. He was a tough kid who never complained. Golf cart rides at the lake always brought enjoyment to Dexter along with being Grandpa's helper in his woodshop. He enjoyed playing with fire trucks, tractors, and tools, along with coloring with markers or paint and watching Bob The Builder. Above all else, Dexter loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Shane and Jessica Adams of Mansfield; maternal grandparents, Cindy (Dave) Shoup of Ashland and Kevin (Teresa) King of Grove City; paternal grandparents, Dexter (Carolyn) Adams of Marblehead; aunts and uncles, Rachel King, Megan Shoup, and Lindsay Shoup, all of Ashland; Lesa Campbell of Tampa, FL; Jennifer (Chris) Jordan of Lima; and Randy Adams of Tampa, FL; cousins, Christopher, Cory, Tyler, Spencer, Haleigh, Madison, Mason, McKenzie, and Mackenzie; and close family friend, Mike Keller of Sycamore.

The family would like to add a special thanks to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at Nationwide Children's Hospital, especially Molly, Sarah, and Alyssa who were his three primary nurses who cared for him.

Friends may call Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario.
