LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD: Donald Ralph Doell, 83, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 06, 2012 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. Don was born on April 13, 1929 in Rochester, NY, the son of Ralph H. and Kezia M. Doell. On May 06, 1967 in Cleveland, OH, he married Susan Ellen Boyd and she survives.

He was a 1947 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School. Don was a Marine Corps reserve and served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a customer service manager for the former Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. retiring in 1991. Don was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. He was a member of Playmaker's Civic Theatre, Dover Masonic Lodge #489, Westlake, OH, Marblehead Lighthouse Historical society and the Port Clinton Yacht Club.

Survivors include: Loving Wife of 45 years: Susan E. Doell; son: Keith J. (Nanci) Doell; daughters: Judy Lynn Doell, Marybeth (John Offack) Doell and Kathleen (Keith Duff) Doell; grandchildren: Cory Doell, Michelle Doell, Jayme Lynn Doell, Kimberly Griffin, Jonathan Griffin and Matthew Kotnik; great-grandsons: Anthony and Isaiah; nieces and nephews: Several; Sisters: Ellen (Victor) Rudy and Charlene Kuntz. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Doell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00PM (Noon), Saturday, November 17, 2012, conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 11:00AM to noon.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Don may be given to Stein Hospice, Trinity United Methodist Church Choir, Playmaker's Civic Theatre or Ida Rupp Public Library.
