I am saddened to learn of Troy’s untimely passing and grateful to have had a nice visit with him in late August.
Troy was my history student and a remarkable young man in and out of the classroom . He represented Ohio twice at The National History Day Contest in Washington, D.C. He portrayed Jackie Robinson in a one-man play he researched and wrote “Rickey and Robinson.” This picture is of Troy with Tommy LaSorda, former manager of the
Dodgers.

I just talked to Troy in August and was shocked to hear of his passing.
He was a great Spanish student in my class. I attached a picture of Teo,
which was a nickname he had in class, he was holding the piñatas that he made.
