Clemestine A. Davis' parents were Elijah Austin and Elizabeth Jewell Austin. Clemestine was the second child born of seven siblings. Clemestine Austin, was born in Gary, IN on March 18th, 1926. Preceding her in death was her husband, EJ (Ernest J. Davis), her parents and five siblings; one brother, Charles Austin and four sisters, Katherine Jean Austin, Delores A. Barksdale, Virginia Ward (Watts) & Elizabeth Talley. Clemestine made her transition to Eternity, on Friday, June 9th,2017. Clemestine was a 1945 Graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School. She was a former employee of R.R. Donnelly's in Chicago, IL. She retired in 1981. Clemestine was a long standing member from childhood of Gary Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, now known as "New Tabernacle M.B. Church". Clemestine leaves to mourn her passing her dedicated and devoted daughter, Belinda E. Davis, two grandson's, Andrew S.W. Greene Jr. (wife, Eboni Greene, both of Las Vegas Nevada) and Aaron S.W. Greene, one great-granddaughter, Andrell S. W. Greene, one sister, Mattlyne Hawkins, daughter-in-law, Linda Davis, and many other relatives. The visitation hours will be held from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 15,2016,2017 at Guy & Allen Funeral Home located at 2959 W 11th Avenue, Gary, Indiana. The Celebration of Clemestine Davis' Life and Homegoing Services will held at 11:00 am at New Tabernacle M.B. Church (2416 Pierce Street, Gary, Indiana) and officiated by Reverend Chet Johnson.
