Amber Lynn Reese Obituary
Reese, Amber Lynn 19, of Gary, IN, entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2014. She was a a student at University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. She will be remembered fondly for her caring spirit, artistic talents and humor. The daughter of Albert and Jacqueline Reese, Amber was born on November 11, 1994 in Merrillville. She attended Benjamin Banneker Achievement Center before being accepted to Emerson Visual & Performing Arts school where she was an accomplished violinist. Upon graduation in 2013, Amber began her undergraduate studies as an Art major. She attended Embassies of Christ and volunteered at Ave Maria House, a day respite for homeless in Fort Wayne. She was an art enthusiast, an avid reader and she loved to help others. Her knowledge of Japanese anime was legendary among those who knew and loved her. An exemplary daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, she will be sorely missed. Amber is survived by her parents, Albert and Jacqueline; brothers, Alvin (Armelia) Schultz, Aaron, Tramell and Brandon Reese; nieces, McKenzie and Morgan; aunts, Marie (Herman) English, Johnnie Robinson, Lucy Browning, Mary Litt and Sheba, Deborah and Ami Reese; uncles, Leo Jr., Hubert, Dennis, Michael, Melvin, Theodore and Glenn Reese; special cousin, Clyde; best friend, Danielle Nichols; and dozens of cousins and good friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Dr. Leo and Thelma Reese and Alex and Henrietta Cunningham; aunts, Dr. Sandra Reese Leavell Barker and Georgia Smith; uncles, Robert and Raymond Reese, Adolphus, Harold, Jerry, Clyde, Larry and Cloyde Cunningham. Visitation and services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at Embassies of Christ Kingdom Ministries, 4285 Cleveland St., Gary, IN. Visitation is 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The homegoing will be at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Evergreen Memorial Park, 3815 W. 39th Ave. in Hobart. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Amber's favorite nonprofit, Ave Maria House, 432 Madison Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
