Anderson, Charlotte Ann Brumfield Was born September 27, 1951, in Gary, IN to Wendell and the late Alma (Jewell) Brumfield. She exchanged life for everlasting life on October 2, 2014. She married John E. Anderson in 1976 and to this union two children were born: Rocky and Tracy. Charlotte was a foster parent and enjoyed parenting many children. She was a 1970 graduate of West Side High School in Gary. Charlotte had her spiritual roots in First Baptist Church (joined at age 13) and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior where she would later send her children to Sunday School, Scouting and the Red Circle Club. She was a beautiful, caring and loving person who loved making people laugh and feel good with her joke-telling. Charlotte had several jobs: Lake County Convalescent Home, Mid-Med Mailers in Hammond and the Fire Side Inn. She mostly enjoyed working as a Paraprofessional for ten years with the Gary Schools. Her love for children led to her becoming a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory two children, Tracy and Rocky Anderson; two grandchildren, Ramaya Anderson and Ny'Asia Reynolds; father, Wendell Brumfield, Sr. (Merrillville); sisters, Shelley Fisher (Alfred), twins, Denise and Deborah Brumfield; brothers, Wendell Jr. (Tulsa, Oklahoma), Kenneth (Gary), Gordon (Chicago, IL) and Gregory Brumfield (Manhattan, Kansas). Preceded in death by brother, Theodore "Stack" Smith and her dear aunt, Lillie; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is greatly missed and will never be forgotten by those who loved her most and knew her best. Heaven has a beautiful brand new angel!! We love you!! "Don't Worry Be Happy!" All services at First Baptist Church, 626 W. 21st Avenue in Gary. Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11th.
