Fannie "Granny" Golston Obituary
Golston, Fannie Pearl "Granny" Was born to Tobe and Elizabeth Gamble May 30, 1933 in Alabama. She dedicated her life to Christ in 1962. She was a member of Logan Park Assembly of Christ and later moved her membership to Mount Zion Pentecostal Church after her husband of 53 years passed, she returned to Logan Park Assembly of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents, Tobe and Elizabeth Gamble; husband, James; brothers, Ernest, Tommie, Will; sister, Cora May; and granddaughter, LaQuisha A. Golston. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her children, Patricia Norwood, George (Dorothy) Golston, Marion (Eldridge) Miller, Agnes (Craig) Spann, Denise (Darwin Thurman) Golston-Davis, Lamar (Cathy) Golston, Jacqueline (Keith) Jordan of Chicago, IL, Eugene Golston, Robbie (Brandon) Spann, ShaDonno (Carl) Ejiofor; special grandson, Daniel Golston; special nephew, Ronald (Helen) Golston of Gary, IN; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 12:00 to 8:00p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Funeral services Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Logan Park Assembly of Christ, 1513 Polk St., Gary, IN. Bishop George Stearnes, officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
